Job Description

 Impose and maintaining safety consciousness. 
 Maintain a high work morale and inspiring others to effective work methods. 
 Clean, rust scaling and painting of the vessel's hull, her decks, masts and superstructure. 
 Maintenance and rust scaling of the cargo holds. 
 Maintenance of all vessel's running gear and mooring/anchoring equipment. 
 Maintenance of safety and life-saving equipment when ordered/requested. 
 Maintenance and onboard repairs of the cargo loading/discharging gear and associated 
equipment; maintenance of tanks/holds, cleaning gear and associated equipment. 
 Any other job required to be carried out by the Master, Department Head or his deputy, 
which is deemed to be intrinsic or necessary for ensuring the safety of the ship, cargo, crew 
and/or the environment. 
 Keep his quarters as well as the common ones clean and tidy. 
 Keep cargo watch as directed by the Bosun in port, during loading/discharging of the cargoes. 
 Participate in all jobs and tasks in connection with safety of own vessel of the other and/or 
persons and/or environment as directed by the person in charge.
