Job Description

·         Head of the Engine Room Department, and is responsible to the Master for administration, supervision, and the safe and efficient operation of the engine department.

·         Ensure efficient operation, maintenance and repair of all the machinery onboard the vessel including main engine, generators, boilers, electrical and control equipment, all pumps, pipework and valves, refrigeration plants, fixed fire fighting and detection systems, cranes and gantries.

·         Supervise the conduct of all engine room department personnel and ensure that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.

·         Check any work of a hazardous nature and ensure that all safety precautions and regulations are observed.

·         In charge for consumption and taking onboard of fuels and lubricating oils consistent with economical operational requirements, as directed by Management or Charterers.

Skills and Qualifications:

- with atleast 18months Seatime in rank and with valid US visa
