Job Description

 Monitor oil consumption as stated in the present voyage orders or time charter description. 
 Prepare dry-dock lists and availability of spares in co-operation with Superintendent Engineer 
 Ensure necessary repair and service from ashore for all equipment, except navigation and 
communication systems. 
 Ensure that the PMS and routines are recorded, updated and well-kept at all times. 
 Arrange/monitor engine/deck machinery used during cargo operations. 
 Be responsible for implementation of the cargo plan, providing all necessary machinery in 
order for the vessel to perform flawless operations. 
 Report to the Master and Head Office all technical matters/failures/faults of engines and 
machinery affecting the safe navigation of the vessel, causing delays or affecting the 
efficiency of the plan in relation to consumption vs. Charter Party requirements and/or any 
other issue. 
 Be responsible for his budget and ensure that it is well maintained. 
 Organize and maintain proper filing of all instruction books, drawings and engine logbooks. 
 Be responsible for the co-ordination and follow up of Electrician’s routines, maintenance and 
daily work.
