Job Description

 The safe operation of all machinery during his watch (work in connection with deck 
equipment i.e.loading/discharging gear,pumps,valves,lines) according to watch instructions. 
 Maintenance planning in co-operation with the Engineers and results of work planning 
meetings, daily distribution of work and ensuring that working hours are kept. 
 Cargo turbines, pumps and associated control equipment. 
 Safety equipment in the engine room and all other machinery spaces. 
 Ensure that spare part stocks are well organized and updated at all times. 
 Report any abnormality as well as the general condition of the machinery to C/E. 
 May be called upon for standby at any time circumstances may so require. 
 Attend weekly work planning meeting. 
 Attend "Pre-arrival Meeting". 
 Ensure proper care and organization of tools and stores.

Skills and Qualifications:
