Communication

Communicating effectively with fellow crew members in order to carry out duties safely and efficiently

Training

Providing training and instruction on specialized equipment or systems. Third engineers may also develop training programs and materials to help junior engineers develop their skills and knowledge.

Management

Managing generators, piping systems, and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

Record keeping

Maintaining scheduled maintenance schedules and machinery history records. Third engineers are also responsible for recording chemicals onboard and lube oil tests.

Inventory

Taking inventory and preparing requisitions for spare parts.

Maintenance

Maintaining and repairing machinery, including boilers, auxiliary engines, and emergency generators. Third engineers are also responsible for engine room watchkeeping duties.

Skills and Qualifications:

AT LEAST 18 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE AS THIRD ENGINEER

WITH OR WITHOUT VALID US VISA 

HOLDING VALID DOCUMENTS

NOTE: 

2 MONTHS OF INITIAL CONTRACT

MUST HAVE BUNKERING VESSEL EXPERIENCE
