Job Description

The Chief Engineer, being the Technical Manager on board, has the overall responsibility for 
the technical management of the vessel.

That the maintenance of all technical components are planned and included in the 
PMS

That the Vessel Master Plan (VMP), with regard to all technical functions, are 
prepared, followed up and maintained and Bunkering procedures

Technical inventory stock control,Ensure that relevant Company QMS procedures affecting his department are observed 
Machinery and technical equipment is maintained in accordance with instructions and 
requirements of class, authorities and Makers

Vessel's technical personnel is trained in maintenance and operation of machinery and 
equipment

Maintenance and performance of all on board machinery, including technical and 
electrical components.

Skills and Qualifications:

Tanker experience at least 3 yrs in rank
